Wholewheat Bread with Cumin

  • 500 g (½ packet) Cretan Mills Mix for Wholewheat Bread
  • 340 ml (1½ cups) water
  • 30 g (2 tablespoons) cumin


Method for breadmaker

Add all the ingredients to the pan. Select the appropriate programme.

Method for handmade bread

Knead all the ingredients together until dough is homogeneous and elastic. Leave the dough to rest for 30 minutes, covered with a cloth. Roughly separate dough into 400 g pieces, and shape into loaves. Sprinkle with flour, and score the surface. Cover the pieces of dough, and leave in a warm place to rise until almost double in size. Sprinkle the surface with water and bake a 200oC for approximately 1 hour.
