Lenten Kourabiédes

INGREDIENTS

  • 640g olive oil
  • 3/4 glass orange and tangerine juice
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon and cloves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 wine glass water
  • Flour, as much as it takes
  • Rose water, confectioner’s sugar

PREPARATION

Beat the olive oil with the sugar and continue with the baking soda dissolved in orange juice, the cinnamon, the cloves and the flour. Knead into a soft dough, shape it into balls and flatten them. Then lay the kourabiedes on a baking tray and bake them. Let them cool, sprinkle them with rose water and sprinkle them with confectioner’s sugar.
