  • ½ kg lentils
  • 2 tbs tomato puree
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • Salt, pepper


After washing the lentils well, boil them in a pan with water for 10 minutes. Strain off the liquid and add fresh water to cover. Add the finely chopped onion, puree, salt and pepper, bay leaf and oil. Leave to cook until the lentils have softened and the sauce has thickened.
