The largest beach of the area of Palaikastro (1,5 km length) is only 2 km away from Palaikastro and 20 km from Siteia.
It has sand and its bottom is ideal for divers divers. Very near the beach you can find two taverns that offer fresh fish any time. This beach is a challenge for those who love windsurfing and it is popular all over Europe. There is also a windsurfing school there.
