The road climbs up to the right leading to Monastiraki. To the north there is a view of the Gulf of Crete and Pachia Amos. On the slopes of the mountain beyond Monastiraki is the Gorge of Ha (with its water mills at the end) and the geometric settlement of Halasmenos. Westwards is Vasiliki and its archaeological site.
From Monastiraki, follow the road that comes from Vasiliki as part of the walking route E4 (in both these villages there are traditional tavernas and coffee shops, as well as cold water springs). Returning by the same route to the national road, the route to Ierapetra passes through Episkopi from where the asphalt road descends towards the Libyan Gulf and the town of your starting point.
