It is easily accessible and its crossing is pleasant and relaxing. Although the last fires have wiped out the greatest part of the beautiful pine tree forest that used to be in the gorge, the remaining bonsai pine trees that have survived in the slots and fissures of rocks reward the visitor. At many points, the rocks accommodate visual creations of the nature, chiseled by the wind and the water as time goes by. The depth of the gorge attains 300 metres. Two wedged rocks form an entrance of successive caves, used by Cretan guerillas and their allies during the German occupation in World War II. The course through the gorge is magical! The view and the landscapes that unfold before your eyes will always stay on your memory!
