Chania – Voukolies – Fotakado –Palea Roumata – Ano Kefala – Voukolies – Nio Horio – Sirili – Tauronitis

This route from the new national road or the old road to Kasteli leads to Voukolies on the right at the level of Tavronitis. After Voukolies we follow the road to Palaiohora and turn left to Fotakado. Unique vegetation and endless olive groves alternate constantly in a unique natural landscape.

After Fotakado, we continue to Palaia Roumata, an amazing village with alive tradition and beautiful neighbourhoods. Small or larges walking routes (e.g. the gorge of Vavouledon) can take place near here.

We continue toAno Kefala and from the picturesque small village we return to Voukolies to turn right soon to Nio Horio and from there we continue to Sirili through a typical cretan landscape with olive groves and orange groves. The road ends from here at the old national road, in front of the historical airport of Maleme.
